In many respects, 2017 was the best of times, but in many others, it was the worst.  We live in a crazy world and we saw that proven over and over again.

Here on the Cape, Air-CapeCod had a fairly successful year – we served our hosts and guests at a very high level with very few complaints.  Our rentals hit 90% occupancy and we succeeded in getting our SuperHost ratings with AirBnB, and look forward to the Summer 2018 season coming up very quickly.

If you thought about renting your second home (or even your first) in 2017 but just didn’t want to deal with the hassle, consider what we can do for you – we handle everything, from creating a unique, eye catching listing, to answering all the questions prospective guests may have, to greeting our guests and telling them about our favorite places on the Cape, to keeping the house and grounds spotless.

One group of folks who should definitely take advantage of our service is those with homes on the market, especially in the $2MM plus market segment.  Even with the economy roaring to life, the “Days on Market” for homes listed in that $2-10 million range can be substantial.  Meanwhile, the expenses continue.

In other areas of the country and around the world marketing this type of property on AirBnB has proven a valuable approach to selling your property.  Think about it – in order to rent on AirBnB your home is kept in tip top shape, people who would never see it view a very nice tour on the AirBnB site (which is also picked up by Google, etc.), you have total flexibility as to when and how often you want to rent, you get top dollar when you do and you have no long term commitment.

That sounds like a win/win to me, and it’s worked that way for hundreds of luxury properties that are on the market.

Here’s to a prosperous and healthy 2018 for all of us.
